The final report was released in November 2014 and revealed that no alcohol or illegal drugs had been found in his system. Prescription drugs were found, albeit in "therapeutic concentrations". The coroner confirmed that the results were consistent with the preliminary findings.
In a statement Schneider released on Aug. 13, she announced that her late husband had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, which he had not publicly disclosed. Parkinson's disease is a nervous system disorder that progresses over time and affects movement and speech. He also confirmed that the actor had struggled with depression and anxiety but had maintained his sobriety.
Schneider's statement also expressed her gratitude for the support following her husband's suicide and touched on the legacy he left behind: "Since his death, we who love Robin have found comfort in the tremendous affection and admiration for him by millions of people, whose lives he touched. His greatest legacy, aside from his three children, is the joy and happiness he brought to others, particularly those who have faced personal struggles."
